CEREMONY
The Data Journalism Awards ceremony will take place in Paris on Thursday 20 June 2013, during the GEN News Summit. The ceremony starts at 19.00 and will be followed by a cocktail party.
The GEN News Summit is the Global Editors Network annual event. It will host 400 Editor-in-Chiefs from all over the world in Paris on 19 to 21 June 2013.
The ceremony is by invitation only. The attendees of the GEN News Summit are invited to attend the Data Journalism Awards Ceremony. To request an invitation please get in touch with Antoine Laurent (alaurent[@]globaleditorsnetwork.org)
A total of €15,000 will be awarded to the eight winning projects in four categories on two levels (Big media/Small media):
- Data-driven investigative journalism
- Data storytelling (text, visualization, etc.)
- Data-driven applications (mobile or web)
- Data journalism website or section
The awards will be given out by Editor-in-Chief, CEO and President of ProPublica, Paul Steiger.
