| GEN is a new non-profit organisation based in Paris, France. In 2011, we are recruiting more staff members – full time or part time contracts – and more consultants for specific missions. Depending on the job, you will be required to be in Paris or in other countries.

| Association Building Director |
 Job description: you will be in charge of the relationship with existing Guild of Editors or Associations of Editors and also of setting up national associations in countries where they don’t exist. You will help local editors to build a national network and to define a sustainable business plan.
Profile: to be experienced in association building activities. You will be a « project manager » and work as part of a team of editors to create new editors’ associations, including marketing and financial aspects. |
| Events Manager |
| Job description: you will be in charge of the organisation of all events, setting the costs and monitoring budgets for each event, planning the logistics and coordinating the technical aspects. You will be responsible for the contracts with the GEN suppliers and for heading a team up to 30 people during our major events.
Profile: an experience of managing minor events (workshops, study tours…) as well as major events (conference with more than 500 participants). Good capacities for dealing with suppliers and partners. |
| Marketing Director |
| Job description: you will be in charge of the marketing of the new association, especially for our events (annual conference, study tours, webinars and web-conferencing…). You will be working in close cooperation with the Membership Director and the associations linked to GEN.
Profile: to have already an experience with marketing and a good knowledge of social media and social networks as the GEN marketing is purely online. |
| Membership Director |
| Job description: you will be in charge of developing GEN membership on all news platforms, print, broadcast, pure online players… Your will be responsible of our « membership area » and of special offers reserved to GEN members.
Profile: to have a good knowledge and practice of senior news excutives worldwide, a good sense of what is relevant for our community and… to be fluent in more than two languages. |
| Web-conferencing Manager |
| Job description: you will be in charge of all our digital activities such as webinars, web-conferences and online study tours. You will have to define new products and services offered through social media.
Profile: a good practice of web-conferencing tools and the capacity to lead and moderate web-conferences with high profile speakers. A real talent for innovation and community management. |
