Argentina - 07 October 2015
On 07 October, Clarín, the largest newspaper in Argentina, and Global Editors Network (GEN) will gather the best media innovators in Argentina for a day-long #EditorsLab aimed at developing news prototypes.
The theme will be “Coverage of the Argentine General Election,” enabling competing teams to explore ways of using data journalism to create apps and platforms based around the Argentine General Election on 25 October. The event will take place in the main auditorium at the Clarín headquarters in Buenos Aires.
The GEN + Clarín #EditorsLab in Argentina is part of a series of international hackdays hosted by world-renowned media organisations in New York (The New York Times), London (The Guardian), Madrid (El País), Buenos Aires (Clarín), Paris (Le Parisien), and many more. It will bring together teams representing news media outlets from all platforms (broadcast, online, print). The teams will be composed of journalists, designers and developers.
The participating teams include four teams from Clarín, a team from La Nación, two teams from El Cronista, a team from La Voz del Interior, a team from CIMECO, a team from La Gaceta de Tucuman, a team from Olé, a team from Artear and a team from Los Andes.
