Vienna, 20 November 2015

On November 23-25, ORF, FJUM and GEN, with the support of Google, will gather the best Austrian media innovators in Vienna to develop innovative news prototypes. The theme of the hackdays is: 'How can newsrooms contribute to a constructive dialogue on the topic of refugees?'. The winning team will be invited to take part in the Editors Lab Final during the GEN Summit 2016 in Vienna from 15-17 June.

The Editors Lab in Vienna is part of a series of international hackdays hosted by world-renowned media organisations in New York (The New York Times), London (The Guardian), Madrid (El País), Buenos Aires (Clarín), Paris (Le Parisien), and many more. It will bring together teams representing news media outlets from all platforms (broadcast, online, print). The ten teams will be composed of journalists, designers and developers. You can follow the event via the liveblog on the GEN website and the hashtag #EditorsLab on Twitter.
