Colm Curneen

Colm is a digital media specialist with over 10 years experience within the media industry. After starting his career with the Financial Times within the product development marketing team for FT.com he took up a digital marketing managerial role with the International Herald Tribune in London. This platform led to a digital development role with the advertising department for The New York Times Global in Paris where he remained for 4 years before taking up the Business Development Director role with the Global Editors Network and was promoted to Deputy Director and & Head of Business Development in June 2014. The role as GEN Deputy Director is to help shape the continuing growth of GEN through our expanding programmes giving newsrooms the skills and tools they need to redefine their digital strategies as well as to drive our increasing partnerships. As Head of Business Development we find creative ways to use our network of Editors-in-chief and senior media decision makers to drive new business and real return on investment for digital suppliers both big and small, established and start up. Born and raised in Ireland, Colm graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a degree in International Business and Marketing.
