I am also the General Secretary of Life Watch, a human rights organization focussing in Manipur. And I am also an Advisor, Kangleipak Students Association, a student’s organization in Manipur, NE India
As Coordinator, Research and Documentation of the organization, I looked after the research and documentation with the organization on the key human rights issues and challenges of indigenous peoples of Manipur.
I also supervise the advocacy and campaign of the organizations on land rights and community efforts to defend our land, resources, forest against destructive development processes such as construction of mega dams, oil exploration and eviction of indigenous communities from wetlands and forests of Manipur.
I also take an active role in promoting the education rights of indigenous youths of Manipur, taking active role in campaigns for promoting our indigenous language, script and to promote and propagate our histories, traditions, cultures and heritages.
I also assisted in supervision of the administration of the organization and the coordination with other human rights and indigenous peoples’ organizations of Manipur and other parts of India’s North East and beyond.
I also coordinate the advocacy and campaign with other international indigenous and youth organizations and in highlighting the issues of Manipur at various UN Human Rights forums and mechanisms.
