Moritz goes back to being the beer of Barcelona thanks to its return to the Catalan capital in 2004. The company, Cerveses Moritz, founded in 1856 by Louis Moritz in the Barcelona Raval, is closely linked to the city for its commercial activity, its product and its diverse leisure and cultural activities connected to the city and Catalonia in which it participates.
Re-launched by the fifth and sixth generation of the family, Moritz beer is involved in the recovery of both architectonic and cultural patrimony of Barcelona and Catalonia. Some clear examples are the rehabilitation of the Fàbrica Moritz Barcelona, at Ronda de Sant Antoni, as its principal project, or the renovation of the famous Bar Velódromo, on Muntaner Street. In addition, the company closely collaborates with different Barcelona and Catalan gastronomic and cultural institutions.
