Livestreaming video apps have come of age. The ubiquity of 4G networks and smartphones has enabled new opportunities for journalists looking to reach an audience in fresh ways. Unfortunately those same conditions have allowed users of apps like Periscope and the late lamented Meerkat to infringe on copyright by broadcasting in real time from sporting events, or by rebroadcasting cable shows as they are shownOn a panel at the Global Editors Network in Barcelona, Sky News' head of social media and audience development Rich Evans  answered a question from the audience about 'hit-and-run' copyright infringement with the following.
