El Observador wins the Editors Lab in Buenos Aires

Gabriel Ciccariello, Martin Viggiano and Marcelo Ferranti, from El Observador (Montevideo, Uruguay) won the first prize of the Editors Lab at Clarín. They had only a day to come up with a project on 'The external debt crisis and the economic recession'. They won with an interactive game called 'Plan your default', in which participants had puzzles based on the Chinese game Tangram. The idea is to fill a figure of a vulture with online pieces that had comparative data of the fight with vulture funds.


As winners, they will compete in June 2015 in the Editors Lab Final to be held in Barcelona, ​​Spain, during the GEN Summit, as well as a benefit from a mentoring programme by an expert to implement their project.

For the third consecutive year, Clarín hosted an edition of the Editors Lab and gathered 38 journalists, developers and designers teams from 3 countries accross South America.
