Damian Radcliffe

I relocated to Qatar in March 2012 after 17 years working in creative, strategic and policy roles across Online, TV and Radio in the UK's commercial, public and non-profit media sectors.

This included nine years at/working in partnership with the BBC, and four years at Ofcom, the UK Communications Regulator.

In my current role I am researching and reporting on the potential - and societal impact - of digital technology on the Middle East.

My writing credits include the BBC, Haymarket Publishing, Huffington Post, journalism.co.uk, the Online Journalism Blog, ZDNet and the Guardian newspaper.

I was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 2008 and an Honorary Research Fellow at the Cardiff School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies in 2012, specialising in hyper-local media, citizen journalism and digital communities.
