Presentation of the GEN Editors Lab programme rules.
9:30: Speed Geeking
Each participating teams meet and have three minutes to present to each other the most innovative project released by their newsrooms in recent months.
11:00: Coffee Break
11:30: Lightning talk with Professor Manuela Raposo Magalhaes on the LEAF project which developed EPIC, a national cartographic database to help improve territorial planning and avoid the spread of wildfires.
12:00: "When the wildfire breaks: how can digital journalism contribute to save people's lives?"

14:00: Work session
17:30 : Mini pitch session
The teams will have one minute to:
- Describe the problem they are trying to solve
- Describe their target audience
- Announce in one sentence what they are going to prototype
9:00: Arrival, coffee & breakfast. Begin working.
13:00: Working lunch
14:00 Final hacking sprint
15:45: Project submission deadline. All prototypes must be submitted to the GEN Community.
16:30: Final pitch session
The teams will have four minutes to pitch their projects with one minute for questions from the jury
18:00: Winners announced & final cocktail
