Editors Lab in Australia
On 9-10 March 2017, the Global Editors Network (GEN) and The Walkley Foundation, with the support of Google News Lab, gathered some of the best media innovators from the region in Sydney for a two-day hackathon to develop innovative news prototypes on the theme of audience engagement.
The winning team was the team from ABC News, with their project: "Initiate"
A special mention was awarded to the team from Storyful.
Public's choice went to the ABC News project: 'Initiate."
