Prototyping the Future of News

The First Editors Lab in Finland

On April 13-14 2016, the Global Editors Network (GEN) and Yle, with the support of Google News Lab, gathered the best Finnish media innovators in Helsinki for a two-day Editors Lab focused on developing innovative news prototypes.

The theme was: "How can we build better communities on news sites?". Participants were encouraged to think about new ways to foster more productive and constructive discussions about current events.

And the winner is ...


The winning project was "The Beef" created by the team from Yle News, which included Teemo Tebest, Ville Juutlinainen and Juha Rissanen. Discover their project here.
