The GEN Summit working language is English. All sessions in the main theatre will also have simultaneous translation into Spanish and Catalan.

The summit will be at Centre de Cultura Contemporania de Barcelona (CCCB), just off Las Ramblas, in Barcelona. It is a meeting place for dialogue between academia and citizens; a platform for innovation on the part of groups and creators, and a laboratory open to the cultural change underway.  Perfect for the GEN Summit 2014.

Getting to Barcelona

Barcelona-El Prat airport is situated 14km away from the city centre. The airport bus, Aerobύs , departs T1 every 5 minutes and T2 every 10 minutes and takes approximately 35 minutes to get to Plaça Catalunya in the centre of Barcelona. The cost is 5.90 euros one way and 10.20 euros for a return ticket.

A taxi from the airport to the city centre costs around 25 euros.

Hotels in Barcelona

GEN has blocked 80 rooms at a special rate for Summit delegates at the four-star Hotel Barcelό Raval, within walking distance of the CCCB. In order to get the Summit rate you should go to the hotel reservation web site at:  www.barcelob2b.com and then enter the special codes that appear on your Summit registration confirmation. The deadline for reservations is 10 March 2014. There is a lot going on in Barcelona next June so we encourage you to reserve your accommodation as soon as possible.
